Our Philosophy
Alcoholism has no discriminatory aspects. It effects women from all walks of life
and has nothing to do with the woman's morals or personal willpower. Ashland Home
embraces alcoholism as a disease that requires a 12-step program of recovery to
ensure that every woman has the opportunity to enjoy an improved level of function
in all areas of her life.
Ashland Home opened its doors in 1998, to help women at no cost to them. Since then,
more than 1800 women have been introduced to a sober way of living through the healing
environment offered at Ashland Home.
Our no cost, non-medical alcohol detox home is designed to provide a safe, sober,
caring and nurturing environment for women beginning their journey into recovery.
The caring staff is completely made up of individuals in recovery who understand
the needs of the women we serve.
Ashland Home provides eight-beds in a serene home like atmosphere that operates 100%
on donations and other fundraising efforts of the committed Board of Directors and volunteers.
