Our Mission
"The purpose of the Ashland Home is to provide a safe and caring environment for women to get sober with dignity and build a foundation for recovery."

Our Vision
"Be the model for all alcoholic women to stay sober and lead happy productive lives; where they are reunited with their families, involved in their communities and giving back what was given to them."

Startling Statistics
  • Approximately 4.6 million American women abuse alcohol
  • Approximately 40,000 women die of alcohol related illness and injuries each year
  • Female alcoholics have death rates up to twice as high as male alcoholics
  • Female alcoholics live 15 years less than women in the general population

Our Philosophy
Alcoholism has no discriminatory aspects. It effects women from all walks of life and has nothing to do with the woman's morals or personal willpower. Ashland Home embraces alcoholism as a disease that requires a 12-step program of recovery to ensure that every woman has the opportunity to enjoy an improved level of function in all areas of her life.

Ashland Home opened its doors in 1998, to help women at no cost to them. Since then, more than 1800 women have been introduced to a sober way of living through the healing environment offered at Ashland Home.

Our no cost, non-medical alcohol detox home is designed to provide a safe, sober, caring and nurturing environment for women beginning their journey into recovery. The caring staff is completely made up of individuals in recovery who understand the needs of the women we serve.

Ashland Home provides eight-beds in a serene home like atmosphere that operates 100% on donations and other fundraising efforts of the committed Board of Directors and volunteers.
